Samuel Scarpino is Professor of the Practice at Northeastern University with joint appointments in Bouvé College of Health Sciences, Khoury College of Computer Sciences, and directs AI + Life Sciences at the Institute for Experiential AI. His research integrates complex systems, network science, and AI to study pandemic dynamics and public health interventions. Recognized as a Fellow of the ISI Foundation and External Professor at Santa Fe Institute, he previously served as Vice President of Pathogen Surveillance at The Rockefeller Foundation.
