Samuel Nestor Meckoni

Samuel Nestor Meckoni is a Researcher at the Department of Plant Biotechnology and Bioinformatics within the Faculty of Life Sciences at TU Braunschweig. His work focuses on the biotechnological potential of carnivorous plants, particularly bladderworts (Utricularia), and the ecological role of Ceratophyllum submersum in eutrophic environments. He investigates transport processes in plant traps and their applications, contributing to sustainable solutions for environmental issues.

Research interests include plant metabolism, rapid plant movements, and bioreactor systems inspired by natural mechanisms. His team has sequenced the chloroplast genome of C. submersum, advancing understanding of aquatic plant adaptation.
