معرفی
Samuel Lundqvist is an Associate Professor in Mathematics at Stockholm University's Department of Mathematics, which is part of the Faculty of Science. He serves as the Director of studies in Mathematics and is a member of the undergraduate education committee at the Faculty of Science.
His research focuses on:
- Commutative Algebra
- Algebraic Geometry
- Combinatorics
- Topology
Dr. Lundqvist specializes in commutative algebra, where he relies on experimental methods for research. He is a member of the research group in algebra, geometry, topology, and combinatorics, which is active in several areas including commutative and homological algebra, complex and real algebraic geometry, arithmetic geometry, homotopy theory, and Ramsey theory.
He runs the Stockholm Problem Seminar in Commutative Algebra jointly with Lisa Nicklasson and organizes a reading seminar on the Fröberg conjecture. His current research project "Expecting unexpected relations" examines spaces of polynomials in many variables.
Dr. Lundqvist serves as advisor to students including Eric Dannetun (2024-), Filip Jonsson Kling (2022-), and Lisa Nicklasson (2015-2020), and mentors postdoc Luís Duarte (2024-).
He is the co-author of the phylogenetic dating program pathd8 and the Macaulay2 package GradedLieAlgebras.
