Samuel K. Schindler is an Associate Professor of Philosophy of Science at the Centre for Science Studies, Aarhus University, Denmark. His work bridges general philosophy of science with empirical methods, focusing on theories' relationship with evidence, scientific discovery, and meta-philosophical reflections. He previously taught at the University of Birmingham (UK) and held fellowships at Stockholm, Konstanz, and the University of Pittsburgh’s Centre for Philosophy of Science. He earned his PhD in Philosophy from the University of Leeds (2008).
Research Interests: General Philosophy of Science, exploring how theories guide evidence collection and evaluation; Meta-Philosophy, defending the use of historical case studies; Intuitions in Thought Experiments, drawing parallels with linguistics and physics. His methods combine historical analyses, surveys, and survey experiments.
