Prof. Samuel GOMES is a University Professor and Head of the Department of Design, Optimization and Modeling in Mechanics (COMM) at the Interdisciplinary Carnot Laboratory of Burgundy (ICB UMR CNRS 6303) within UTBM. He holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from Université de Technologie de Compiègne (1993) and a PhD from Institut National Polytechnique de Lorraine (INPL, 1999). His research focuses on High Productive Design, Numerical Modeling in thermomechanical systems, Lean Innovation, Additive Manufacturing, and Smart Cyber-Physical Systems, with applications in Transportation, Energy, and Industry 4.0. He manages 32 researchers, including 15 PhD students, and leads initiatives like the 'UTBM Innovation CrunchTIME' program. He has coordinated national projects such as CoDeKF and MOBILITECH and published extensively (39 journal papers, 87 conference papers, 3 patents).
