Samuel Amadon is a Professor of English Language and Literature at the University of South Carolina, serving as Director of the MFA program and a McCausland Faculty Fellow. He holds a PhD from the University of Houston (2012) and an MFA from Columbia University (2007). His research focuses on Creative Writing and Contemporary Poetry, with notable works exploring urban landscapes, narrative fragmentation, and modernist techniques.
Amadon’s recent publications include Listener (2019, forthcoming) and The Hartford Book (2012), alongside poems in The Nation, Kenyon Review, and The New Yorker. His work often interrogates themes of public space, memory, and existential inquiry through innovative poetic forms.
