Samiran Ghosh

Samiran Ghosh is a Professor with Tenure and Chair of the Department of Biostatistics and Data Science at the UTHealth Houston School of Public Health. He is also affiliated with the UTHealth Houston Institute for Implementation Science and the Coordinating Center for Clinical Trials (CCCT).

His research focuses on developing advanced statistical methods for clinical trials, including Non-inferiority, Cluster-Randomized, Stepped Wedge, MOST/SMART/JITAI, N-of-1, and Bayesian Adaptive trials. He has extensive domain expertise in Mental Health, Cardiovascular Disease, and Behavioral Interventions due to his collaborative research.

He serves as a standing member of the NIMH review panel and regularly reviews for federal agencies like PCORI and DOD/CDMRP. Ghosh is a member of the American Statistical Association (ASA) and a founding member of its Statistics in Mental Health Section.
