Sami Honkasalo

Sami Honkasalo is an Assistant Professor at the University of Helsinki, Department of Languages, specializing in Japanese and Chinese linguistics. His research focuses on functional-typological analysis of endangered minority languages in China, particularly Gyalrong languages in Sichuan, and historical linguistics of Shang Dynasty Chinese and Central Asian Dungan. He teaches courses at multiple levels in Asian languages.
