Sami Haider is an Assistant Professor at the School of Engineering & Physical Sciences, Heriot-Watt University. His research focuses on wireless communication systems, machine learning applications, IoT integration in healthcare/smart cities, and physical layer security. He actively explores how AI can transform education and transnational engineering collaboration.
Research interests include wireless AdHoc networks, Massive MIMO systems, and secure communication protocols. His recent work emphasizes AI-driven solutions for education systems and smart infrastructure. He has published widely on topics such as generative AI in global education, intelligent course scheduling, cyber-physical transportation systems, and IoT intrusion detection.
Dr. Haider is currently accepting PhD students and has collaborated on projects involving machine learning for talent forecasting in China and secure IoT frameworks. His work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals related to innovation and infrastructure.
