معرفی
Samantha Meenach is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical, Biomolecular, and Materials Engineering at the University of Rhode Island. Her research focuses on overcoming physiological barriers in nanoparticle drug delivery for pulmonary diseases.
Education:
- Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, University of Kentucky (2010)
- M.S. in Chemical Engineering, University of Kentucky (2008)
- B.S. in Chemical Engineering, University of Kentucky (2005)
Research Interests:
Samantha Meenach's work centers on nanocomposite microparticles for pulmonary drug delivery, including tumor-penetrating nanoparticles, dry powder aerosol, and mucus-penetrating systems. She investigates acetalated dextran as a drug release polymer and optimizes spray drying parameters for inhalable therapeutics.
Grants:
Meenach has secured multiple grants from NIH and Ocean State Research Institute Inc. for projects like Platelet-Coated Nanoparticles and Role of Endothelial Anoctamin-1 in Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension.
