Dr. Samantha Mayo is a Research Professor at the Faculty of Nursing, University of Toronto, and holds the RBC Financial Group Chair in Oncology Nursing Research at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, University Health Network. Her work focuses on optimizing long-term health outcomes for cancer survivors, particularly addressing cancer-related cognitive impairment and psychosocial challenges.

Her research leverages longitudinal and mixed-methods designs to investigate patterns of patient and caregiver outcomes, aiming to develop health service interventions for self-management and quality of life. She is a co-lead in the MASCC Neurological Complications Study Group and contributes to the Oncology Nursing Society's Cognitive Impairment panel.
Dr. Mayo has secured funding from CIHR, SSHRC, Canadian Cancer Society, and others. Her publications highlight trends in non-pharmacological interventions, biomarker research, and survivorship care.
