Samantha Bergmann

Samantha Bergmann, Ph.D., BCBA-D is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Behavior Analysis at the University of North Texas. She co-directs the Training and Research: Autism Intervention Laboratory housed in the UNT Kristin Farmer Autism Center and co-directs a peer-mentoring program in Housing and Residential Life's UNT Collaborative Action for the Neurodiverse cohort. Her work focuses on improving intervention methods for individuals with autism spectrum disorder through rigorous behavioral research.

Dr. Bergmann's research primarily investigates treatment integrity, instructional efficacy and efficiency, stimulus control, and verbal behavior. Her work examines how variations in teaching procedures impact learning outcomes, with particular attention to auditory-visual conditional discrimination training, instructive feedback techniques, and the effects of reinforcement errors on skill acquisition. She has made significant contributions to understanding how stimulus presentation order affects learning in children with autism.
