Sam Hopkinson

Sam Hopkinson is a Senior Lecturer in Health Care Science at Swansea University, specializing in Cardiac Physiology. She joined the university in 2017 as part of the Cardiac Physiology team and currently serves as the Admissions Tutor for the Cardiac Physiology programme. Her roles combine academic teaching with clinical practice through weekly echocardiography clinics at the Health and Wellbeing Academy.

She holds a PGCE (2018) and fellowship of the HEA, reflecting her commitment to education. Her expertise spans cardiac anatomy, echocardiography, valvular heart disease, and disease prevention. Teaching focuses include blended learning, patient/public engagement, and peer learning.
