Sam Dillman

Sam Dillman, MD, is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, affiliated with the UW School of Medicine and Public Health and the Department of Emergency Medicine. He specializes in pediatric emergency medicine, focusing on clinical care and education.

Dr. Dillman’s research interests include sedation, ultrasound, quality improvement in pediatric emergency departments, and clinical medical education. He serves as a Partner Longitudinal Teacher Coach and chairs the Peer Review Committee. His clinical work centers on advanced pediatric emergency care at American Family Children’s Hospital, addressing trauma, infections, and critical conditions like fevers or deep cuts.

His 2015 publication on IAP’s role in stabilizing Claudin-1 highlights his engagement in translational research linking molecular biology to neonatal care. Leadership roles include overseeing medical student education and quality assurance in pediatric emergencies.
