Salvatore Cordova

Salvatore Cordova is a Lecturer at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC), affiliated with the Art & Technology department's Sound Practices program. He holds a BFA from SAIC (2013) and teaches courses such as Experimental Game Lab and Video Game Music Composition, emphasizing interdisciplinary approaches to art, technology, and sound.

His work spans artistic performances at venues like MCA Chicago, TEMPLE Gallery, and film festivals including the Silicon Valley International Film Festival and Cannes Court Metrage. He has composed music for brands like Skittles, Jif, and NorthShore University HealthSystem, and contributed to publications such as Indie Shuffle and The Deli Magazine.

Cordova's research interests focus on experimental video games' intersection with politics, architecture, and storytelling, as well as the role of music in immersive digital experiences. He leads the Experimental Game Lab, exploring avant-garde game design and adaptive soundscapes in gaming.
