Sally Willig, PhD, is a Lecturer and Advisor in the Master of Environmental Studies program at the University of Pennsylvania’s College of Liberal and Professional Studies. She teaches Wetlands, Field Study of Puerto Rico's Ecology, and Regional Field Ecology, emphasizing fieldwork to enhance understanding of ecosystem processes and patterns. She also advises students focusing on Environmental Biology, Resource Management, and Environmental Education and Advocacy.
- Education: AB in Geology from Princeton University; PhD in Geology from the University of Pennsylvania.
Her research interests center on environmental systems, blending ecological field studies with interdisciplinary approaches to resource management and education. The customizable MES program at Penn allows students to blend foundational courses with electives, aligning with her advisory philosophy. She actively supports students in achieving academic and professional goals through tailored guidance.
