Sally Doherty

Sally Doherty is a Senior Lecturer in Psychology at Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI-Bahrain). Her work spans cardiovascular health research, sexual counseling in cardiac rehabilitation, and medical education innovation.

Her research focuses on cardiovascular disease, behavior change models, and health psychology, particularly in multicultural contexts. Recent work includes pandemic ethics, exercise's impact on adolescent cognition, and workplace wellbeing for Irish hospital doctors.

As Director of Assessment and Exams at RCSI, she contributes to curriculum development, research ethics, and THEP curriculum reforms. She supervises Master’s theses in the Institute of Leadership and collaborates on diabetes/cancer research grants.
