Salil Shetty is a Senior Fellow at Harvard University’s Carr Center for Human Rights Policy and affiliated with Harvard’s Lakshmi Mittal and Family South Asia Institute. He has led global human rights initiatives, including serving as Secretary General of Amnesty International (2010–2018) and Director of the UN’s Millennium Campaign (2003–2010). His work focuses on resistance to authoritarianism, youth movements in India, and India’s role in global affairs.
