Dr. Saleh Almogrbe is a Lecturer in the Department of Engineering and the Built Environment at Anglia Ruskin University (ARU), part of the Faculty of Science and Engineering. Previously, he served at the Higher Institute of Engineering Professions in Benghazi (2007–2018) and as an Associate Lecturer at the National College for Nuclear (2022). His expertise lies in post-conflict urban reconstruction, governance in recovery efforts, and comparative analyses of war-affected cities.
Education: PhD in Architecture (University of Strathclyde, 201?), MSc in Civil Engineering and Environmental Management (University of South Wales, 2017), and PG Cert qualifications in teaching and research. His doctoral thesis explored rebuilding strategies for cities like Benghazi, Beirut, and Mostar through fieldwork with local stakeholders.
Research focuses on challenges and solutions for post-conflict urban recovery, emphasizing cultural and institutional roles. Recent work includes a 2025 Routledge publication on Benghazi's reconstruction and conference presentations in Qatar (2024–2025) on post-conflict housing and lessons from Beirut.
Professional memberships include the Higher Education Academy (Fellow) and the Institution of Civil Engineers. He teaches courses on surveying, BIM, and civil engineering projects, blending academic rigor with practical field experience.
