Sakalas Uždavinys

Sakalas Uždavinys serves as Lecturer at the Opera Studio of the Department of Vocal Performance, Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre (LMTA), teaching Acting since 2006. His pedagogical approach integrates four decades of professional practice across theater, film, and television.

His academic credentials include:

• LMTA Acting degree (1984)
• MFA in Theatre Directing from University of Victoria, Canada (2002), supervised by Prof. Brian Richmond
• Doctor of Arts in Theatre Directing from LMTA (2007), supervised by Cezaris Graužinis and Ramunė Marcinkevičiūtė

Uždavinys specializes in developing practical acting methodologies derived from his research on acting theory applications. His signature training system, refined over 40 years, is delivered through full-time instruction at LMTA and specialized workshops. He has created over 100 theatrical/film characters and directed 20+ productions while collaborating with Lithuania's leading directors.

As an educator, he mentors LMTA acting graduates through fully staged drama productions consistently praised by faculty and industry professionals. His professional scope extends to being an associated member of GoodPeople learning consultancy and a glider pilot instructor, with C2 proficiency in English and Russian.
