Saj Mohan Mohandas Moolayil

Saj Mohan Mohandas Moolayil is a Research Fellow at the Industrial focus group XUV Optics (XUV) within the MESA+ Institute at the University of Twente. He holds a PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (2013–2019), an MSc in Nanotechnology from Anna University (2010–2012), and a BSc in Electronic and Communication Engineering from Calicut University (2009). He also completed postdoctoral research at Université d'Artois, France (2019–2021) and an internship at Osaka University (2014).

His research focuses on developing piezoelectric/ferroelectric/multiferroic devices for industrial applications, including adaptive optics using PZT thin films, epitaxial thin film strain engineering, and pMUT device materials. He has expertise in techniques such as pulsed laser deposition, RF magnetron sputtering, and scanning probe microscopy.
