Sait Cemil SOFUOĞLU

Prof. Dr. Sait Cemil SOFUOĞLU is a Full Professor at the Department of Environmental Engineering, İzmir Institute of Technology (IYTE), and currently serves as the Department Chair. He holds a PhD (2001) and MSc (1996) in Environmental Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology, and a BSc (1991) in Environmental Engineering from Dokuz Eylül University.

Research Highlights: Prof. SOFUOĞLU’s work addresses global issues like military conflict impacts on atmospheric pollutants and long-term monitoring of chlorinated indoor pools. His team uses advanced methods such as passive air sampling and hybrid sorbent technologies for environmental remediation.
