Saif Eddin Jabari is a Global Network Associate Professor of Civil and Urban Engineering at New York University (NYU) and affiliated with the Tandon School of Engineering. He holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities (2012 and 2009), and a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from the University of Jordan (2001). His research focuses on theoretical aspects of traffic flow, modeling uncertainty and emergent phenomena in urban transportation networks, with applications in traffic state estimation, distributed control, and cybersecurity.
His work leverages applied probability and statistical mechanics to address urban traffic management challenges. He has contributed to innovations in sensor placement and incident detection algorithms, as evidenced by his patents in travel time estimation and traffic monitoring systems.
