Sai Krishna Mulpuri

Sai Krishna Mulpuri is a researcher at the University of Twente, Netherlands, working within the Power Electronics group of the Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science (EEMCS). Since February 2025, he has contributed to the "FreeTwinEV" project focused on developing digital twin technologies for electric vehicle batteries to enhance performance and reliability.

• Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from National Institute of Technology (NIT) Warangal, India (2012-2016), with thesis work on interleaved buck converters for LED dimming
• Master of Technology (M.Tech) from National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela, India (2018-2020), researching photovoltaic systems and MPPT techniques under partial shading
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati, India (2021-2024) as a Prime Minister’s Research Fellow, specializing in EV battery testing and electrochemical modeling

Mulpuri's research centers on electric vehicle battery technologies, with emphasis on lithium-ion battery modeling, degradation analysis, and intelligent management systems. His current work integrates end-edge-cloud connectivity for real-time battery diagnostics, advancing digital twin applications in sustainable mobility. This research addresses critical challenges in battery lifespan prediction and performance optimization under varying operational conditions.

Prior to academia, Mulpuri served as General Manager at Trident Group, India (2016-2017), leading energy conservation projects and power plant operations. His expertise spans battery electrochemistry, monitoring systems, and material science applications for next-generation energy storage solutions.
