Saeid Aminjafari is a hydro-geodesist affiliated with Chalmers University of Technology and Stockholm University. His work integrates Earth Observations (EO) with geodetic methods to study surface water dynamics, wetlands, and ground deformations under climate change.
- PhD: Physical Geography, Stockholm University (2023)
- MSc: Marine Geodesy
- BSc: Geomatics and Surveying
Research interests include:
- Hydrogeodesy for quantifying water occurrence and levels
- Climate change impacts on high-latitude wetlands and lakes
- InSAR techniques for hydrological monitoring
- Ground motion analysis for railroad stability
His projects, funded by the Swedish National Space Agency and Swedish Transport Administration, focus on national water security, hydroclimatic tipping points, and data product development for Swedish lakes. Current affiliations include the Hydrogeodesy Lab at Stockholm University and Chalmers University of Technology. He has mentored master's and junior PhD students, emphasizing communication and societal impact.
