Sadegh Dabiri is an Associate Professor at Purdue University, holding joint appointments in the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering and the School of Mechanical Engineering. He is affiliated with the College of Engineering at West Lafayette, Indiana.
Dr. Dabiri completed his Ph.D. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of California, Irvine (2009), followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at MIT (2009–2010) and research faculty roles at the University of Notre Dame before joining Purdue. His research expertise lies in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and multiphase flow systems, with focuses on turbulent gas-liquid interactions, cavitation, heat transfer, and supercritical fluid dynamics. He has developed advanced numerical techniques for simulating complex multiphase phenomena, including bubble dynamics, droplet migration, and phase-change processes.

His research group utilizes direct numerical simulation (DNS) and advanced meshfree methods to study multiphase flow physics, with applications in heat exchangers, supercritical water oxidation, and medical device design. Current projects explore cavitation in autoinjectors, thermal convection in confined geometries, and schlieren-based monitoring of therapeutic samples.
