Sacoby Wilson is Professor in Global, Environmental and Occupational Health at University of Maryland School of Public Health, where he directs The Health, Environmental, and Economic Justice (T.H.E. E.J.) Lab. With 20+ years in exposure science and environmental justice, his research addresses environmental health disparities through community-based participatory research. He holds a PhD and MS in Environmental Health from UNC-Chapel Hill and BS in Biology/Ecotoxicology from Alabama A&M University.
Research focuses on air pollution monitoring, built environment, climate justice, GIS applications, and policy advocacy. Wilson leads projects across the DMV region addressing pollution in communities like Anacostia River, Bladensburg, and Eastern Shore. He founded the DMV Environmental Justice Coalition and Mid-Atlantic Justice Coalition, while serving on EPA's Science Advisory Board and as Editor-in-Chief of Environmental Justice.
