Sabrina Zhao (they/them) is a Chinese American painter based in Chicago. They currently serve as a Lecturer at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where they earned their MFA in 2024.
Research & Artistic Practice: Zhao's work focuses on uncovering, restoration, and archaeology of patterns and shapes. Their practice explores temporal progression, introspection, and spiritual interpretations of visual elements, bridging esoteric concepts with tangible painting techniques.
