Sabrina Leslie is an Associate Professor at the University of British Columbia (UBC), affiliated with the Michael Smith Laboratories, the Department of Physics & Astronomy, and the School of Biomedical Engineering. Her research focuses on single-molecule biophysics and imaging technologies, particularly the CLiC platform, to advance genetic medicines and vaccine development. She holds a BSc from UBC and a PhD from UC Berkeley, with postdoctoral training at Harvard University. Dr. Leslie’s work bridges physics, biology, and engineering, with contributions to nucleic acid interactions, nanoparticle dynamics, and therapeutic oligonucleotides. She has received numerous awards, including the Killam Accelerator Fellowship and membership in the Royal Society of Canada. Her lab actively collaborates with industry and academia, emphasizing commercialization through her spin-off company, ScopeSys.
