Dr Sabrina Albrecht is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Queensland's School of Business, affiliated with the Low Harm Hedonism Initiative. She holds a PhD from the Tinbergen Institute and University of Amsterdam, with prior roles at Queensland University of Technology and UQ. Her research focuses on migration policy, youth mental health, environmental sustainability, and behavioral economics.
Research interests include refugee resettlement impacts, pro-environmental behavior incentives, and mental health service optimization. She has been recognized with an Honourable Mention in the 2022 Women in Economics Network Writing Competition. Recent work examines clinical complexity in youth mental healthcare and LGBTQ+ discrimination in gig economies.
While now employed as Senior Data Analyst at headspace (National Youth Mental Health Foundation), she maintains academic ties through collaborative research projects. Key contributions include analyzing refugee exposure effects on ethnic attitudes and developing mental health service evaluation frameworks.
