Sabbir M. Rashid

Sabbir M. Rashid is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute's Tetherless World Constellation. He earned his Ph.D. in 2023 under Professor Deborah L. McGuinness, focusing on data annotation, ontology engineering, and ensemble reasoning for clinical decision-making. His dissertation explored deductive and abductive inference over linked health data in diabetes contexts.

His research spans semantic technologies, knowledge graphs, and FAIR data principles, with contributions to projects like Whyis, Semantic Data Dictionaries (SDD), SETLr, ARCLIGHT, HEALS, NanoMine, CHEAR, and MaterialsMine. He also developed Tetraverse TCG, a trading card game leveraging semantic web technologies for dynamic card generation and gameplay abstraction.

Prior to RPI, he completed a double major in Physics and Electrical & Computer Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
