SUNG Jinseok

Dr SUNG Jinseok is a Research Fellow at the Energy Studies Institute (ESI) of the National University of Singapore (NUS), a position he has held since May 2023. His career includes prior roles as Research Professor at the Center for International Area Studies and Lecturer in the Department of BRICS at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (South Korea), as well as Research Fellow in the Department of Political Science and Diplomacy at Hallym University of Graduate Studies. He has also served as Visiting Researcher at the Bank of Finland's Institute for Emerging Economies (BOFIT) and participated in the LNG Working Group at the Skolkovo School of Management in Moscow.

His research focuses on natural gas and energy markets in the Asia Pacific region and Eurasian countries, with key interests in:

• Oil and natural gas market dynamics
• Global gas market evolution
• Energy transition strategies
• Clean fuel developments
• National and international energy policies

Dr Sung's work emphasizes cross-border energy policy analysis and the geopolitical implications of energy transitions in emerging economies. He has contributed to international research networks through collaborative projects in Europe and Eurasia.
