Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech)معرفی
SU Linlin is an Associate Professor (Tenure-Track) in the Department of Mathematics at Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech). Previously, she held positions as a Post-Doctoral Scholar at the University of Vienna's Department of Mathematics (2013–2014) and as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (2010–2013). Her short-term affiliations include visiting scholar roles at East China Normal University and the University of Chicago.
Education:
- Ph.D. in Mathematics, University of Minnesota, USA (2005–2010)
- M.S. in Mathematics, Tsinghua University, China (2002–2005)
- B.S. in Mathematics, Tsinghua University, China (1998–2002)
Research Focus:
Her work centers on the qualitative analysis of nonlinear reaction-diffusion equations/systems and mathematical biology. She investigates spatial dynamics in population genetics (e.g., migration-selection models, clines) and ecological systems using PDEs and integro-differential equations. Earlier research included contributions to geometric analysis and spectral theory.
Publication Trends:
Recent works (2012–2016) focus on evolutionary dynamics in spatially structured populations, stability analysis of migration-selection equilibria, and integro-PDE models for gene flow. Earlier publications (2005–2010) addressed nonlinear diffusion in genetics and geometric aspects of Lagrangian submanifolds. All articles emphasize rigorous mathematical frameworks for biological and physical phenomena.
