Soheila Amirsoleimani is an Associate Professor at the University of Utah, affiliated with the World Languages and Cultures department. Her research and teaching focus on classical Persian texts, particularly from the 11th century AD, with interdisciplinary connections to Islamic mysticism, ethical thought, and gender studies. She also teaches courses on Persian language, Muslim-American identity, and literary analysis.
Her scholarly work explores metaphor and irony in Persian literature, as well as the representation of women in historical narratives like the Tārīkh-i Bayhaqī. Her publications span topics such as translation challenges in Persian works, numismatic symbolism in the Ghaznavid dynasty, and didactic literature in Iranian culture.
