SEDA CEVHEROĞLU

Asst. Prof. Dr. Seda Cevheroğlu is an academic faculty member at the Nursing Department within the School of Health Services at Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU). She holds a PhD (2022) and MS (2014) in Nursing from Istanbul University, alongside a BSc in Nursing (2007) from the same institution. Currently serving as Vice Chair of the Nursing Department, her role includes leadership in academic administration and curriculum development.

Her research focuses on patient safety competencies, health literacy, geriatric caregiving, global climate change awareness in nursing education, and clinical skill development. Notable work includes studies on anxiety levels in colonoscopy patients and the impact of physical activity on bariatric surgery outcomes.

Dr. Cevheroğlu has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals such as GASTROENTEROLOGY NURSING, MEDICINE, and PUBLIC HEALTH NURSING, with recent contributions addressing pandemic-era educational shifts and hand hygiene compliance. Her work frequently bridges clinical practice with educational innovation, emphasizing evidence-based practices in nursing.

Her academic contributions include supervising research projects on topics like compassion levels in nursing students and opioid dependency in hospitalized patients. She maintains active involvement in EMU's institutional initiatives, including program development for health services education and participation in international conferences on nursing ethics and healthcare quality.
