Róbert Bódizs is a Senior Research Associate and Deputy Director of Research at the Institute of Behavioral Sciences of Semmelweis University. He obtained his psychology degree from Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca (1997) and a doctorate under Professor Péter Halász at the National Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology in Budapest (1998–2002). He leads the Psychophysiology and Chronobiology Research Group, focusing on the relationship between sleep-related brain electrical activity, cognitive function, and biological rhythms.

His research has established a reliable link between electrophysiological sleep patterns and intelligence. As a supervisor in the Doctoral Schools of Mental Health Sciences (Semmelweis University) and Cognitive Sciences (Budapest University of Technology and Economics), he mentors young researchers. He teaches medical and dental psychology in Hungarian and English.
