Rémi Peyre is a lecturer at the École des Mines de Nancy (University of Lorraine), affiliated with the Institut Élie Cartan de Lorraine. His research focuses on probability theory and mathematical analysis, particularly problems inspired by physics and biology.
- PhD in Probability (2010, advisor: Cédric Villani)
- Research themes: stochastic processes, mixing coefficients, and Brownian motion variants
- Teaching: Statistics, Information Theory, and Monte Carlo methods
His work bridges theoretical mathematics with physical and biological applications. Recent publications highlight probabilistic methods in functional inequalities, mean field limits, and self-similar random processes. Rémi also contributes to mathematical popularization on topics like voting theory and Zorn's lemma.
