Ryszard Kowalczyk

Prof. Ryszard Kowalczyk is an Adjunct Professor at Swinburne University of Technology's Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology, specializing in artificial intelligence, autonomous multi-agent systems, and smart infrastructure. Former roles include Director of Swinburne's Intelligent Software Systems Lab and Wipro Chair of Artificial Intelligence. His research enables decision-making in cyber-physical-social ecosystems through automated negotiation, learning, and self-organization.

Research interests focus on collective intelligence applications in smart cities, industry automation, and cloud-based systems. Current projects investigate hierarchical reinforcement learning, continual learning frameworks, and time-series forecasting using transformer networks.
