Prof. dr hab. Ryszard Bera is a full-time Professor at the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS), serving as Head of the Department of Pedagogy of Work and Andragogy within the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology. His research focuses on work pedagogy, social pedagogy, labor migration, and education for safety, with a particular emphasis on Polish emigrants' experiences in European labor markets.
- Promoted 23 doctoral students and over 500 master's/bachelor's graduates.
- Received prestigious awards including the Doctor Honoris Causa from Ukraine's National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences, the Gold Cross of Merit, and the Medal 'Zasłużony dla Miasta Lublin.'
