Ryan Teague

Ryan Teague is a Professor in the Department of Molecular Microbiology and Immunology at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He earned a Ph.D. from the University of Kansas and completed postdoctoral training at the University of Washington and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. His research focuses on cancer immunology and developing novel immunotherapy approaches through translational studies linking basic science to clinical outcomes.

Research Interests: The Teague lab investigates how the immune system detects and combats cancer, with emphasis on overcoming barriers to effective immunotherapy. Key projects include analyzing metabolic influences (e.g., fructose, oxidized lipoproteins) on tumor resistance and exploring immune responses to SARS-CoV-2 in cancer patients undergoing checkpoint therapy.

Publications: His 2014-2024 work spans cancer immunology (2014), model adaptation (2016), SARS-CoV-2 interactions (2022), and recent breakthroughs in metabolic resistance mechanisms (2021) and CXCL13 biomarkers (2024).
