Ryan Stanfield serves as a Lecturer in Graphic Design at the Belfast School of Art, Ulster University, based at the Belfast campus (2-24 York Street, Belfast, BT15 1AP). He operates within the Faculty of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences and contributes to the Art and Design Research group.
His research spans Graphic Design and Visual Communication with specialized focus on Consumption Studies and Sustainable Design. This is exemplified by his recent participation in the "Unconference; Consumption Reconsidered" event held on September 19, 2025, where he collaborated with colleagues including Magennis, L. (Organiser), Montgomery, I., Spratt, J., Golden, S., and Tennant, A. to critically examine design-consumption relationships.
