Ryan Pontiff

Ryan Pontiff serves as Assistant Professor of Instruction and Director of Clinical Education for the Hybrid DPT Program within the Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Sciences (PTRS) at the University of Texas Medical Branch's School of Health Professions. He holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Texas Woman's University and is actively pursuing a PhD from the same institution.

His research centers on critical challenges in physical therapy practice, with emphasis on Orthopedic Rehabilitation protocols following surgical interventions and injury recovery. A significant portion of his work investigates Burnout in Physical Therapists through epidemiological studies on prevalence and development of targeted interventions. Additional focus areas include Musculoskeletal Injury assessment, Pain Management education, and neuromuscular Muscle Rehabilitation techniques examining recruitment patterns during recovery phases.

Dr. Pontiff's professional recognition includes:
