Ryan Moran is an Associate Professor in the Department of History at the University of Utah. His research focuses on modern Japanese history, biopolitics, health policy, and the intersection of economic and social policy in imperial contexts. His work often examines how state institutions and market mechanisms have shaped societal norms and individual behaviors.
