Ryan Greenawalt is an Instructor of Communication Studies and Adjunct Professor of Voice at Belmont University. He serves as Director of Forensics, leading Belmont's nationally ranked Speech and Debate Program. His roles span two colleges: the College of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences and the College of Music & Performing Arts. Ryan holds an M.Ed. in Organizational Leadership and Communication from Belmont University.
His academic interests focus on performance studies and the impact of storytelling on culture, society, and reality. He prioritizes demystifying public speaking, creating inclusive environments for students to develop communication skills. Beyond academia, Ryan is a professional vocalist and actor with global stage performances, a session singer, and vocal coach in Nashville.
Ryan’s extracurricular passions include traveling, sports, and aspiring to establish a dog rescue. His teaching philosophy emphasizes empowering students to become confident communicators and agents of societal change.
