Ryan Bowles Eagle

Ryan Bowles Eagle is an Associate Professor and Department Chair in the Communications Department at California State University, Dominguez Hills within the College of Arts & Humanities, and serves as Program Coordinator for the Film, Television and Media B.A. degree.

Her educational background includes:

• Ph.D. in Film and Media Studies (with doctoral emphasis in Feminist Studies) from University of California, Santa Barbara

Her research centers on feminist critiques of media representation, documentary film analysis, and global media industries, with publications in Feminist Media Studies and European Journal of Cultural Studies. She examines how power structures shape audience reception and cultural production through intersectional frameworks.
