Ruthie Davis is a Clinical Assistant Professor and Interim Division Leader in the Department of Child and Family Studies at Baylor University, part of the Robbins College of Health and Human Sciences. She has been a certified child life specialist since 2004 and has been teaching at Baylor since 2014, contributing to programs in child development and family studies.

Her teaching expertise lies in child development, early childhood education, child life, and psychosocial support for hospitalized children. She teaches core courses such as CFS 1315, CFS 3362, CFS 3368, and HSD 4V93, integrating practical and theoretical knowledge in child and family well-being.
Professor Davis is actively involved in the Association of Child Life Professionals (ACLP) and the Southern Association of Child Life Professionals (SACLP), maintaining professional engagement in the child life community.
