Dr. Ruth Felder is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Faculty of Social Science and Humanities at Ontario Tech University, specializing in Political Science. She holds a PhD in Political Science from York University.
Her research examines the political economy of development in Latin America, focusing on neoliberal reforms, labor precarity, and alternative development projects. Key areas include:
- The interplay between economic policies and social dimensions in Argentina
- Labor market transformations and informal worker organizing
- Crisis and recovery patterns in post-neoliberal economies
Her publications analyze precarious labor systems and collective action strategies among marginalized workers, published in journals like the Journal of Labour and Society and Review of Radical Political Economics.
Before joining Ontario Tech, she taught at the University at Albany (SUNY) and held research positions at Saint Mary’s University and the University of Buenos Aires.
