Rupert Thompson

Dr Rupert Thompson is a Senior Lecturer in Classics (Philology and Linguistics) at the University of Cambridge's Faculty of Classics. He serves as a Fellow and Director of Studies in Classics at Selwyn College, and holds the role of University Orator. His research specializes in Classical and Comparative Philology and Linguistics, focusing on ancient textual analysis and language structures. Thompson is actively involved in academic leadership, including organizing events like the 'Bridging Binaries LGBTQ+ Tour' and 'Localizing the Indigenous, Globalizing the Classics' seminar.
