Ruohan Gao

Ruohan Gao is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Maryland, College Park, with affiliate appointments at the University of Maryland Institute for Advanced Computer Studies (UMIACS), Maryland Robotics Center (MRC), and Artificial Intelligence Interdisciplinary Institute at Maryland (AIM).

His research focuses on Computer Vision and Machine Learning, emphasizing Multisensory Machine Intelligence that integrates sight, sound, and touch. He aims to enable machines to perceive, understand, and interact with the world as humans do, with applications in robotic manipulation, audio-visual localization, and differentiable rendering.
