Rune Nyrup

Rune Nyrup is an Associate Professor at the Department of Mathematics Science Studies, Aarhus University. His work bridges philosophical inquiry with technological development, focusing on the ethical and epistemological challenges posed by artificial intelligence (AI) and digital technologies.

His recent publications analyze socio-technical intersections in AI, healthcare applications, and philosophical frameworks for ethical AI governance.

Current projects include the TREAT initiative (2024–2028) on responsible explainable AI technologies. Collaborative efforts involve scholars like Falco, Cibralic, and Chu, with a focus on interdisciplinary applications in aging bias mitigation and ethical AI design.
